EN MASSE will celebrate the music of Haitian-American violinist Daniel Bernard Roumain. The EN MASSE performance embeds musicians within the Museum's galleries, with each work selected to encourage audience participation and reflection to create what Roumain affectionately calls "an orchestra of life”: an orchestra of both musicians and audience, each with a role and responsibility to fulfill. Kaufman Music Center’s Face the Music is composed of 170 NYC pre-college musicians and has been called “a force in the new music world” by The New York Times.
